  Had a great time at Stone's Throw-- we would definately go back again. The upstairs was comfortable and well-appointed. The downstairs was a bit musty and could use some updating. The downstairs bathroom shower head didn't work very well. But all in all, it made for a super time.

  only one thing - lower unit smelled quite musty - should have been aired out.
  Thanks for lightening up on the laundry requirements! Made our last morning so very much more relaxed and pleasant and we still got the last load in the washer with one in the dryer!

• This is our second year at Stones Throw and I'm sure it will not be our last. Everything about the place is great for us and once we park our car in the driveway we don't get back in it till it is time to leave.

  We had a fabulous time at Stone's Throw. We had problems with our accomodations somewhere else and the manager there found this house for us. Pet friendly and right across from the beach=couldn't have been better! Only issue(4 stars) was that most of the dishes from downstairs unit must have migrated to upstairs unit over time. Not much in the cupboards down there. since we had both it was not a problem for us.

  When looking for a vacation house I didnt think being right off the beach was a big deal until staying here at Stones throw. It was such a fun and PERFECT location. Since we went prepared with food for our stay we did not have to move the cars once! All activities were so convenient. Town was just around the corner, beach right across the street, and everything we needed was there at the house. The house was FULLY equipped. Another favorite of the group (14 of us!) was the view from the kitchen and family room. We were able to be in the house, yet see the beautiful beach from just across the street. Whoever wanted to go to the beach went, and those of us who didn't, were still able to enjoy the fun they were having from watching from the house. I can't express what a great house this is. It has a large deck (perfect for dogs), large fenced back yard and most important, it is family/pet friendly. A home is not "family friendly" if it is not pet friendly. We had a wonderful stay. Everything was perfect!

  This is our 3rd year in Manzanita and Stone's Throw was by far the best place ever. If you have teenagers, this is a great location - the kids can easily grab a hot dog or ice cream cone just around the block or go skim boarding or boogie boarding or use the hot tub multiple times during the day. We had two dogs who loved having a fenced backyard as well a deck that they could lay out on and "people watch".
  The only bad comment would be the musty smell in the bottom unit - even with opening the windows, it smelled musty all week. We kind of expected this since previous reviews have commented about this issue.
  Despite this issue, we loved staying here and got to see and experience the beautiful beach 24/7 -we'll be back.

  The upstairs unit is delightful. If it's too windy on the beach go on the back deck and enjoy the hot tub. The downstairs is very musty though and we had to switch around who was staying down there because of respirtory issues.

  The downstairs studio seems to need some refreshing. The closet door in bath area does not slide properly, the lamp is broken (at foot of bed near futon couch) and there is no foos ball table as the website depicts. We usually rent just the top portion,
  so aren't as familiar with the lower unit, but I'm not sure we would go back to rent both upper and lower. There is also a rip in the window seat cushion on the second level. Also, the upper level bathroom sink had a bad clog and the drain connects to the
  washer so we couldn't do laundry or use that sink for a day. It wasn't that big of a deal, but an inconvenience. The people who responded, including the plumber were very nice and professional. Overall we love that house. We will be there again in Sept.

  loved the location. we never got back in our car. we never had to pack up to go to the beach. if we forgot something, we walked right back into the house and got it. walked to coffee, pizza, farmers market, etc... we even prepared meals in the open kitchen and dining area. loved our stay.

  4 generations of our family enjoyed a memorable Thanksgiving at Stones Throw. The well equipped kitchen made it possible to have a feast away from home. There was plenty of space and of course, the view of the ocean and the easy access to the beach made the a perfect location. We had stayed in just the upstairs before and loved it. The downstairs was not as comfortable and that would be okay, but it also was not well represented in the photos on line. There is no stove and no fussball table. The coziness of upstairs is missing. But over all, it didn't keep us from having a wonderful time. We hope to go back, but probably will try for a time when we can rent just the upstairs.
