  I've stayed at Treasure Rock many times for retreats and now for a family vacation. Always love it! The one thing that should have been addressed was a big cracked window in the main family room. We were told by the cleaning crew that the group before us cracked the window and that it would be quickly repaired - but no one ever came by or addressed it. It didn't mar our vacation at all - I'm just hopeful it get fixed before it really breaks! Thanks for a great time.- Curtis

  This house was perfect for us. We have already booked it again for next year. The fire pit outside was used everynight and the beach is close enough to walk to for all ages. We took bikes with us and found some good paths for all ages too. This was our 5th year doing a family vacation and this was the BEST house we have found. Very clean and roomy.

  We had a fun stay at the Treasure Rock house. The toys and games were very entertaining for the kids, especially considering the rain we had that week. The view was amazing and the house was comfortable and charming.

  A family of raccoons is living above the carport next to the large upstairs bedroom. They forraged thru the garbage cans at night until we put the cans in the garage. Owners may wish to remedy before damage is done. I'll send pictures via separate e-mail. Overall condition of property is excellent.

  This property shows evidence of being deeply lived in - and much loving care. Shaded yard and deck perfect for quiet uses, house spacious enoough for multiple board games and cards, location near enough for easy access to local shopping and golf, beach near enough to see and hear. A great place - even for a surprise 50th anniversary dinner party for 20 next to the shaded brook in the back yard! Aleady looking forward to next year!

  We love Treasure Rock and have already put in our reservation for next year. Only issue was a vacuum cleaner that was so stuffed with debris that it was unusable. Also - is there any reason that the bunk beds in the kids' room are never made? Nothing like trying to get 6 tired kids to bed at 10 p.m. and discovering that the beds need sheets.

• We had a great time and hope that we certainly left it in as good condition as we found it. The location was great - we did have one incident of one of our men falling outside - he is a bit unsteady and the incline of the street didn't help.

  This house was GREAT. There was plenty of room for everyone. The kitchen was well equipped with plenty of dishes for 20. There were extra tables for games and projects and we were able to all sit together for family dinners. This is a great property and I would highly recommend it and we plan to return again.

  We are nature lovers so the creek in back, the naturescape and being near the surf was splendid. fabulous ocean view and sunsets. the garage was a good sandy entrance for all. The resident racoon knows how to open the garbage lids. Hope to do it again. Loved it.

  We had a wonderful time at the Treasure Rock. It is a large, well kept house with a gorgeous view. The backyard has a wonderfully secluded patio with a fire pit: the perfect gathering place during the evening. The upstairs kitchen was large enough to accommodate quite a few cooks in the kitchen. There are plenty of good sized rooms with lots of comfy beds so none of else felt crammed in. Everything, including the property manager, Betty, made for a very comfortable and memorable stay! We will certainly be staying with Sunset Vacation Rentals again!

  This house was great. We had a large crew of college friends with significant others, and the house couldn't have been better. Great views and lots of common space for people to spread out. The furniture was comfortable and much newer than the Internet pics make it seem. Happily surprised.

  This time we had a problem,we could fix it but it was a pain. The downstairs bedroom with single beds & bunks had bedspreads on them,but when we went to bed no sheets on any of the beds so as the last women arrived at 10PM they all had to make up the beds.

  The house was lovely with a great location. We loved the firepit in the back yard. There were some problems with the electrical wiring causing flames to shoot out of an outlet. It was taken care of right away, but we were told the whole home needs rewiring. There also was a problem with the clogged bathroom drain downstairs. Everything was taken care of with just a phone call, but it seemed these things should not have happened. We did have a wonderful time.

  One of the rooms was unable to be occupied due to a leak in the roof which in total only accounted for the house sleeping around 18. Otherwise our stay was great. Would recommend supplying more paper products as well as plastic wrap and tinfoil for cooking.

• it was crazy to rent a house that had no CD player. Thankfully one of our gang brought her laptop, so we could play music through it. The main floor's TV has terrible picture, even when using DVDs (tried playing music DVDs too) Just bad.

  When we arrived there were some noticeable stains on the carpets, and we were concerned that we would be blamed for them later. We were assured by property rental company that all stains had been noted prior to our arrival. We did like the sleeping accomodations (very quiet and everybody had a room) and 3 bathrooms for 12 people works well. Having a 2nd kitchen was also fabulous for 12 people who bring all of their food down and all love to cook. We rent a house at the beach (anywhere from Gearhart to Rockaway) and this was one of the better houses for layout, in terms of 12 people each having a room, and the 2nd kitchen (the main kitchen wouldn't be easy for several people to work in). The lower level is strictly bedrooms, a bath and a kitchen, and wouldn't be a pleasant place to rent alone for a vacation, but is perfect for a large group wanting the whole house. It wasn't the best house for creature comforts (no CD player!!) and is a distance from downtown Manzanita, a place we love to spend some time. A long walk, or if weather is bad, you must drive. Views of ocean from main floor were wonderful.

  Once more we had a great time. There is nothing that wasn't great. It just took a little time to figure out that the instructions for the VCR/DVD were in the book. I'm slow.
