Manzanita - The house is modern and open in design and has a wrap around deck and rock-face fireplace. The large open living room has wrought iron chandeliers and a cathedral ceiling, with sectional furniture facing the fireplace and the windows. The loft-style upstairs, with its desk area, two bedrooms and bath gives the house lots of usable space and style. There are also a bedroom and bath on the lower level. The remodeled kitchen and dining area helps to make the down stairs great for entertaining. This home is perfect for celebrations and get-togethers. This is the kind of place that you will want to stay in for a week or two or three. Go out the sliding glass doors, step off the deck and your feet are in the sand. It's like having your own private ocean. This house sleeps 10 and is perfect for large gatherings. Put the car keys away and walk to play golf. Or take a 5 minute walk along the beach and get a special cup of coffee in town. You'll enjoy Water's Edge and will fill your stay with beautiful memories. This place is perfection. We're a group of friends who have rented this property for years and love almost everything about it. We did have some dishwasher problems and a bathroom leak that occurred on our last day so it luckily didn't impact our stay. We appreciate how the property is continually updated with kitchen remodel, new furniture when needed etc. Perfect place to stay for a getaway with large family or group of friends.

The house is perfect for families with small children. We stayed there with 4 adults and 6 children and had the best time ever. The house is very well designed, very spacious and the best view from almost all rooms. The kids could play in the sand while the parents watched them from the deck or from inside the house. Definitely the best place we ever stayed in Manzanita and we already thought that the other places were good.
Everybody was extremely helpful and flexible in making this a fantastic trip. We'll definitely be back!!!

A fabulous house right on the beach at Manzanita. I have stayed in several houses at Manzanita and this was by far the best. One suggestion is that you don't advertise a hot tub when there isn't one. The two kids we had with us were very disappointed about that. . .Thanks

I've been coming to the beach since I was a child, and have rented lots of beach houses. This is one of the first that I am anticipating renting again. Wonderful, wonderful. Beautiful, but lived in. Lovely, but comfortable. Well-stocked kitchen. And what can one even say about the view?

The house is great, right on the beach and the giant sectional seated 3 families at once. The kitchen had nicer pots and pans and knives than we have at home. We did mysteriously run out of hot water once, and I wish for the price of the cleaning, we didn't have to strip the sheets, start the laundry, and empty the garbage.

The location was outstanding. The house was wonderful! It was clean and spotless. Kitchen was very well equipped, as were the bathrooms! We wanted to use the bar-b-que so we called the office. Within 10 minutes, the maintenance person was there and we had the bar-b-que was all ready for us.

The tv could have had a better connection but we didn't come there to watch tv, did we???

All the office staff were very polite and friendly. I believe the person who was helping us was "Jen"? Anyway the self appointed princes, and we loved her. Great sense of humor and very helpful!

We already reserved it for the same time next year.

There was no way this week could have been better. Some of us couldnt walk very well, so the house's closeness to the beach was a real plus! And the views from the house were awesome.

Needs a new guest book though. Enjoyed reading previous comments.

We enjoyed a family reunion at Water's Edge in late June. Its hard to imagine a better view! We enjoyed the well equipped kitchen and also grilled on the charcoal grill regularly. The only issue we had was an out-of-service light fixture which the property manager said had been damaged by a roof worker and was pending repair. However, there were enough floor lamps that this proved only an inconvenience. Highly recommended property!

After moving away three years ago, I had my first visit to Oregon and craved the coast. When I first saw Water's Edge online, I knew this was the perfect coast rental. It lived up to all of my expectations! Incredibly high ceilings with floor to ceiling views. Wonderful open layout, stylish but comfortable, with a great wrap-around deck. I would be happy there, rain or shine. The only thing I would change is to upgrade the stove.

I took my daughter and some friends to the beach for her 14th birthday. She said it was the best birthday ever, and I agree. We were very comfortable and had a great time. I did have to wash some dishes by hand because I don't think the dishwasher worked very well. Also, there were some lights that needed replacing. But, overall the property was in good shape. The staff is fantastic!

SSVR staff very helpful. Provided a crib for free when my daughter forgot hers for her baby. Just a great location, and Manzanita is a perfect beach town. Also, Nehalem Bay Winery is 5 minuts away and an excellent place to visit.

Weather the weekend of Feb. 19-21 was perfect!

Two things:
There should be a BBQ. Had to buy a temporary one for $20.
Cleaning fee--after all you ask the user to do before leaving, this should be waived unless they don't do it.

Had a great, relaxing time at Waters Edge! Well appointed kitchen. There were a few lights/light bulbs not working, and the house is set further back from the beach than you might expect (limited view of water). Overall, I'd stay here again when visiting Manzanita.
