  Our family was delighted with our stay at Valentine's House. We had our grandchildren for a few days, and when they left with their mother to a property in Pacific City, they complained that they wanted to come back, our house was way better!! And it had the perfect kitchen/living room for entertaining our other relatives that were staying down the street. All of us could comfortable have dinner and hang out at our house!

  Loved the floor plan, the brightness even in rainy February, great shower, firm but not too firm beds, easy walk to the beach and town. Comfortable and clean sofa and recliners. Bring your ipod setup and you're good, a blender if that matters to you. Even had some good dvd's, books and a few games.

  This place is the opposite of "beachy". It has very high quality features like tall ceilings and stone tiled bathrooms, and stone kitchen countertops. Very spacious living room with open access to kitchen - large families or two families would not feel crowded. Only con is that this is a duplex (owner occupied), and no garage acccess.

• The only negatives were the poor tv reception and awkward placement of living room furniture. All else was great.

  We were really impressed with the house and its location. It was very clean, spacious and comfortable- there was so much to do in Manzinita and nearby.

  There was a recliner that the back was broken on when we got there, also one sauce pan had been bading burnt. Other than those two things everything was in great working order.

  Need lids for pots and pans. One bedroom was right next to main drag though at night was pretty quiet. Great place to stay. Liked the doors separating the main living area from the bedrooms to keep sound down. Top notch construction.

  Valentine's house was almost perfect--very new and clean, close to the beach, open floor plan, beautiful kitchen and living/dining area. The only downside was that we had to cross a pretty busy street to get to the beach, which was stressful with little kids. Overall we were very happy with the house.

  The only thing I would change is the utensils in the kitchen. We love to cook and while the kitchen had a great layout and had state of the art appliances the kitchen gadgets were lacking. Don't get me wrong we had all of the basics but it is fun to have the other non essentials at your command.

  We really enjoyed staying at the Valentine's House this past weekend. The house was really spacious and comfortable. My 2 year old daughter had plenty of room to play and run around, which was great considering it rained during most of our visit. I especially loved the location. It is so close to town, the beach and the playground--perfect for a family with young children. I was happy to see the house wasn't overly decorated with knick-knacks so I didn't have to worry about my daughter touching things that she shouldn't play with. I only wish the house had a more modern stereo that would allow for ipod connection and WiFi. My husband works for himself and had some unexpected work he need to do for a client while we were away from home. Oh, and a more modern toaster! It was too narrow to toast bagels, so I had to do it the old-fashioned way, using the broiler in the oven. I burned a couple of bagels beyond recognition before I got the timing right. Bring your own tupperware and saran wrap if you plan on cooking and end up with left overs. Other than that, the kitchen was well stocked with utensils, dishes, pots and pans.

  Great house with really bad beds to sleep on, you might want to take a look at that, we left with sore backs and scratching our head because its such a nice home, they spent alot of money on the house but they need to spend $500 more and get a couple of good beds...fyi

  The weekend stay was outstanding. The location is great. Very close to the beach and close to town. You can walk everywhere. The only problem with the house is the TV is very small. Outside of that it is a great house in a great location and very nicely appointed.

  To whom it may concern;
  
  Pros; We had a great time, close to the beach, close to shopping, very little traffic on the road. Place was neat and clean, looked as if it was recently updated. Wonderfully quiet. We may come stay again.
  
  Cons; The beds were extra, extra firm. While we were told to supply our own food and toilet paper, understandable, the need to purchase basic sundries (sugar, shampoo) was a bit of a surprise. While we are neat, the requirement to do laundry was one of the things we wanted to get away from. The TV was a little awkward to watch from the eastern couch and when my 7 year old reviewed the complimentary movies, she asked me what NC-17 meant as she had never seen that rating before. Next time we may stay at a hotel as they do their own laundry and clean up after us and have a complimentary breakfast.
  
  Next vacation, our family will discuss the option and decide where to stay.
