  Perfect location and size, lovely to have a fireplace, fantasic view and direct beach access with a sunny deck facing the ocean. It couldn't have been better.
  Very well equipped spacious kitchen.
  Problems with the hot tub not working on arrival left us without it for 1 day of a 2 day stay, very disappointing. I had to work out how to get it working again myself as there weren't any instructions,the agency didn't know when I called and were unable to get the engineer to call until the next day. The furniture is very worn and not very clean with some broken covers as was some of the bedding. The main bedroom bed frame is extremely noisy and needs immediate replacing. Had there been more than 2 of us staying it would have been a problem to use it, we switched rooms.
  I really enjoyed my stay despite these issues but feel the steeper price doesn't reflect the quality of the property, but the location is priceless! I would definitely recommend staying here with reservations pending the repair work, maintenance and updating needed.

  Although it's tough to have fun when you don't sleep well, this place was fantastic and I'm going to try to reserve it on our next trip out to the coast.

  The house was very nice. The main issue was that the hot tub would only get up to 100 degrees when the cover was on it. As soon as the cover was removed, and two to four people got in, the temperature would rapidly drop and keep dropping (94 degrees and below) to the point that we would all just have to get out. We were really hoping to get to spend more time in the hot tub during our stay. That was one of the main selling points of the house for us. Also, the bed frame in the back bedroom is loose and creaks and pops and makes A LOT of noise whenever a person makes the slightest movement on the bed. Otherwise, the stay was enjoyable.

  Everyting was perfect except I think the circuit breaker turned off the hot tub and we had to call the office to get it operational again. It was the kids' first time and they had a wonderful time and want to go there again :)

  This is a great beach house in a very convenient location. All reviews I read befor hand were right on. Unfortunatly the complaints on the beds being uncomfortable were also true. Your shoulders and head feel like they are lower than your body. after a couple restless nights I figured out that additional pillows helped but for the minimal price of a matress the owner should replace them. On a positive note the house is much roomier than the pictures depict. The deck out front is also very large. Amnities such as knives, small appliances were in excess of what I have expereineced in a beech house and high quality. Will definiatly consider for the next trip.

  In a nutshell: flawless location, great view. Hot Tub is nice but we found the bed uncomfortable so that's a toss-up for us. We had only the upstairs unit, which is "cozy". Verdict: Thumbs up.

  This was our first stay in Manzanita and we were both pleasantly surprised with what we found. The locals were welcoming and pleasant, the shops were fantastic, and the views were simply amazing. We will be back. The only issue is that the beds are very uncomfortable and so are the foutons in the living room. The views made it manageable, but I would recommend replacing all the mattresses stat. : )

  Thought we would mind being on the main drag but it was not an issue. The house was very well supplied. A few problems: The heaters in the master bedroom and dining area only put out cold air. The toilet paper holder and the silverware drawer need repair. Otherwise the house was spotless and very enjoyable.

  My boyfriend and I and another couple stayed at the Stones Throw upper unit over a stormy weekend in October. It was super clean and tastefully decorated. We loved that the kitchen was big enough to cook and all hang out. Beautiful view of the ocean from the living room and kitchen. The private hot tub on the back deck was a wonderful treat as well. We have recommended this property to all of our friends and will definitely be back!

  I can't say enough about the FANTASTIC time we had. I read many of other guest comments that were very helpful. We brought coffee, food, foil, saran, extra lg garbage bags, and don't forget the doggy towel...making it all very comfortable and not having to run out to the store all the time. The size and location of the house is a plus. Our dogs sleep in crates and they were happy to retire early with all the fun on the beach. We will be back for another birthday beach blast.

  Stones Throw is a wonderful place to stay. The location is perfect and the view spectacular. It's just a short walk, with our dog, to most destinations in town. Over the years I have stayed at Stones Throw about 5 times and keep going back time after time....what a great vacation home.

  This is the perfect location for families! The beach is 20 feet from the driveway, and you can sit on the front porch and watch all the fun. Or if it is stormy you can sit in the bay window for the same view. This house is stocked with everything you could ever need. We had a lovely weekend!
