Family Time at Cabin at the Beach

Stayed 7 days in August, 2009
Four adults, one 5 year old,and one two year old vacationed for a week there and had a wonderful time. With the master bedroom and another bedroom with a double bed and two bunk beds in it,we all had comfortable, private sleeping areas. The kitchen/eating area was tiny, but we managed because we used the charcoal grill and the large table on the porch for a lot of the cooking/eating. The bathroom is tiny-there is no tub but there is a red shower. The washer and dryer are just apartment size, much like you find in condos. But they worked well.We had to do laundry for towels. They only provided 4 nice ones and a few thin, pretty well worn out ones. That was not enough for 6 people for a week.
The house was clean, but not spotless. The front yard has large pine trees so the needles and sand made the front yard comfortable to walk across and to view. One side backs up to a parking lot,but there was a nice wooden divider fence and beautiful flowers and plants along it. The backview is of trees and another fence. The house is almost on the property line in the back, but there was another tall fence there so it was not a problem. The other side yard fascinated the grandchildren because it had a lot of blackberry briars and they were ripe. Their father showed them how to pick a few. Living in the city of Portland, they had never picked blackberries before.
The walk to uptown was just through that parking lot,so we could get to the ice cream shop and the Puzzle and Games store without even crossing the street. To get to the beach,we only had to cross two small streets. We would go again next week if we could !
