Oregon Coast Area Guide

Ahh . . . Manzanita. It’s a breath of fresh air! A small, charming coastal town located just 2 hours west of Portland. It’s the perfect place for a romantic weekend getaway or fun-filled family vacation.

Nestled between two state parks, Manzanita possesses incredible beauty, and provides easily accessible outdoor recreation to it’s visitors. Oswald West State Park to the north, has a popular surf break, sandy beaches, and gorgeous ocean view hiking trails that wind through old growth forests.

Nehalem Bay State Park offers camping, fishing, biking and hiking trails as well as a playground for the littles to enjoy. With one side bordered by rolling dunes it is an easy up and over trip to the beach to make sand castles or play in the water. You can bike or walk the scenic trails to the back of the Nehalem Bay where you will find sandy beaches, driftwood forts, wildlife, and the Horse Camp with horseback rentals.

Shopping is an adventure in itself in Manzanita with the unique boutiques where you will find one of a kind art, gifts, clothing, etc. Grab a coffee and a scrumptious treat at one of the local coffee shops then wander through the eclectic array of galleries, restaurants, and shops.
