COVID-19 Information

Sunset Vacation Rentals is here for you.

In an ever-changing social climate, SSVR wants to be sure we are as transparent and helpful to our valued guests as possible. The safety of our guests and employees is paramount; and we want you to feel confident in booking your vacation knowing that we are doing everything in our power to ensure the safety of you and yours.

That being said, we wish to share with you the current situation in the city of Manzanita in regards to COVID-19 and masking. Masks are required both indoors and on Laneda Avenue, or anywhere outdoors that social distancing is not possible regardless of vaccination status (as of 8/20/2021).

Cleaning Guidelines:

1. Two-step cleaning is practiced by the housekeepers. It is important to understand that cleaning and disinfecting are not the same thing!  All surfaces will be cleaned first and then will be disinfected by spraying all surfaces with proper disinfectant approved by the EPA.

2. We will be using Electro-Static sprayers and disinfectant foggers throughout the house to effectively disinfect all surfaces of the home. This will be done immediately after you depart.  Electrostatic spraying is a method of applying a disinfectant using an electric charge to fully cover all surfaces in a room.  The result is a more efficient process to properly and fully disinfect your home.

3.  PPE Equipment will be worn by our staff when cleaning, quality checking and doing maintenance in all homes.

In the Case of a Cancellation:

Sunset Vacation Rentals wants to be as flexible and understanding as possible of cancellations regarding COVID-19. For all bookings made directly with Sunset Vacation Rentals that must be cancelled due to travel mandates, city closures, or guests who test positive and cannot travel, we will hold everything paid as a full credit to be used by December 31,2022.

More Information:

There are new guidelines for renting a vacation home that we must follow in order to be compliant with the local government. These guidelines must be followed not only by the rental company but also by guests who are booking the homes.

What to know while at the house:

Proper guidance of personal safety protocols to practice while here are the following:

1.  Wear masks in any public places.

2.  Maintain social distancing in town and on the beach.

3.  Please stay clear of any marked or closed areas.

4.  To adhere to any other recommendations from County and State governments.

5.  To be considerate of everyone in the community.

Due to safety guidelines we have also had to readjust our maintenance procedures and policies. In the case of you needing assistance during your stay, please call our office to schedule a time that works best for all guests to be out of the home, so that someone from our maintenance team can safely enter the house, and fix the issue for you. We apologize in advance for any inconvenience this may cause, but this is for the safety of both our employees and our guests.

Please be patient with us during this time as we are also adjusting to this new world we are living in.

While it is important that everyone makes the choice that is best for them regarding travel, please also note that vacation rentals are a great option to keep your pod together, and socially distant, while still enjoying the views and sounds of the Pacific Ocean and enjoying the fresh air.
