Unexpected gem. Super clean and well maintained. I was surprised at the amenities in the kitchen. You never know what to expect at a coastal rental, but the kitchen was very well stocked on anything you could need for cooking down to a butter dish and butter knife.

This is our eighth stay at this marvelous house. We love everything about it and it is enjoyable whether it's raining or sunning.

The only drawback on this trip was an inadequate supply of hot water for showers. I'm sure that if a maintenance person could have come to the house and adjusted the hot water heater, the problem might have been easily solved but because of Covid, we preferred to not have anyone come into the house during our stay.

Since our last visit, the master bedroom has a gigantic new and very comfy bed. You could probably fit six children in it if you needed to.

We will certainly return in the coming months.

The house and location was as advertised. We had a very comfortable stay with plenty of space, a well stocked kitchen, lots of linens and towels, plus games, books, and DVDs. Very clean. It’s close to the beach with 2 beautiful decks to relax on. Everything you need for a wonderful vacation is here.

The home has everything you need, very clean, amazing views and 3-5 minute walk to the beach! You are a short distance to Cannon Beach and about 40 minutes (via a breathtaking drive along the 101 coast highway) to Seaside Oregon.
The only drawback to the home is if you are elderly or have young kids or toddlers as there is a fairly narrow , circular staircase that would pose problems for the oldest and youngest guests.
We would definitely stay here again.

A wonderful and delightful place! The owners don't keep anything locked up so you can use everything. Because, after all, who remembers to pack plastic wrap.

Two friends and I rented this house for three nights mid-week in April. It is spacious, quiet, and has a fantastic kitchen. We had most of our meals at the house and we found pretty much everything we needed for cooking. Also it is very close to the beach and town, so it is an easy walk. You can go to the beach for a quick walk or a long stroll. All appliances were working. I think the only downside it that you cannot see the beach, but otherwise it is outstanding.

This home is beautiful and has everything you will need to settle in and relax. We enjoyed every moment - sitting on the outdoor decks basking in the sun (yep, some sun!), walks around the neighborhood, coffee by the stone fireplace, family dinners at the big table. And our dog loved it, too.

Barefoot Retreat was a spectacular beach vacation experience. We have stayed there on three different occasions beginning in early September 2021 and will be going back in a couple of weeks. The home is equipped with every possible amenity. The kitchen is a dream to cook in, the shower in the master bedroom made me swoon, beautifully furnished, toasty gas fireplace to read by. Not one thing I would change in the slightest.

The home met and exceeded all of our needs for an enjoyable vacation. The location was great for going to nearby Neahkahnie Beach and as a home base for driving to surrounding hikes and beaches. The kitchen was well stocked with essential cookware and the home was clean and nicely maintained overall.

Relax, Hang Out, Have Fun, Walks on the Beach and Great Company is what we all needed most. Our expectations were met at this beautiful home and location.

Games for all, great tv, nice selection of books, a fabulously stocked kitchen and lovely outdoor covered decks so you can still enjoy being outside even if it's raining (as it did one day of our stay.) You are a super quick walk to the beach and nice walk or very short drive into town. The ONLY thing that would make this house any better would be if it had an ocean view - but the nature reserve is beautiful and you're only a 5 min walk to the beach. We would definitely choose to stay here again.

Very clean and well stocked. Loved the kitchen and decks. Would highly recommend this wonderful house. Loved working with all the staff at Sunset as well. We will be back!

Relaxing

This house was perfect for our stay. Our family with kids stayed downstairs. Nice bathroom, two bedrooms, living space. Two of us stayed upstairs. We had a lovely bathroom with a great shower. The kitchen was well equipped and beautiful.

We stayed at Barefeet Retreat over the July 4th holiday had a wonderful stay. This home is beautifully appointed and the kitchen is spectacular. The bedrooms are on the smaller side but as we were there during the summer we spent most time on the deck. The location is a very easy walk to the beach and wonderfully quiet. It is a great property for multiple couples traveling together.

We had a wonderful family vacation in this lovely home. It was perfect for our six kids. They loved the foosball table and having their own space downstairs. It was also perfect for the adults to enjoy some wine and cheese on the beautiful deck. The houses convenient access to the beach and downtown area made it super easy to travel back and forth with our boogie boards and beach toys. We are looking forward to our next visit to Barefeet Retreat.
